Carole Barley - Chair

I was a marketing manager for an international company that delivered training for schools and hospitals for 18 years and held the same role in the hotel industry.
I joined Sale u3a in 2015 and was Secretary from 2017 to 2023 before becoming Chair.

Judith Lloyd

Judith Lloyd - Vice Chair & Group Co-ordinator

I trained as a nurse in the Royal Navy and worked in many different settings.  Worked in the Voluntary Sector. I am a Governor of two schools and a Trustee of TDAS.  I was Chair of the u3a Sale until 2023 and now I am Vice Chair an have recently also taken on the role of Group Co-ordinator.

Kathryn Fyfe - Secretary

I did voluntary work teaching in Egypt before a Geography & Archaeology degree. I worked in Central and Local Government. I have at various times been PTA Chair, School Governor, and Girl Guide Leader in Sale Moor.  I lead the Egyptology Group.

Margaret Loftus

Margaret Loftus - Treasurer

I worked in finance most of my working life, took a short break in the late 70s’ to open my own “Outside Catering Co.”  I joined Sale u3a in 2016 joining the committee mainly to put names to faces. I was Treasurer from 2018-2021 and have now taken on the role again in 2024.

Louise Glossop - Membership Secretary

I have worked for a variety of different companies in secretarial and administrative positions.

I joined Sale u3a in 2017 and took on the Membership Secretary role from 2018-2021 and I am returning to the role in July 2024.

Barry Brotherton

Barry Brotherton - Webmaster

I am a local Councillor. Currently I am the webmaster for the u3a Sale and manage the webpage and Facebook site.  I help run the French Conversation Group and help organise the film events.

Guy Robson

Guy Robson - Talks Organiser

In my former life I worked as a solicitor in Manchester.  I was also the French Consul for Greater Manchester though I have retired from that now.  I was the Treasurer at u3a Sale until 2021 -2023.

Charlene Pullan

Charlene Pullan

After many years as a bored accountant I became a fully qualified teacher of reflexology which I still practice.  I also worked for the police in a civilian capacity for 12 years.  I run the Luncheon and Writers Groups.
