French (intermediate)

Status:Active, full but can join waiting list
Coordinator:
When: On Thursday mornings 10:00 am-12:00 pm
2nd & 4th Thursdays. 10am to !2 noon
Venue: Sale Moor Community Centre

We are a group of about 12 people who meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in the Main Hall from 10.00 a.m. to 12 noon.

We are all past the beginner's stage in the French language but definitely still learning. We aim to make the classes enjoyable and inclusive whilst learning together. We like jokes with illustrations, stories and interesting news facts, but nothing too heavy or political. We love it when members write their own stories and anecdotes, could be about memories from the past, funny stories, interesting travel snippets, especially about France of course, and French cookery and shopping. We encourage everyone to have a go speaking the language even though mistakes are made! We cover the language of course, but also French culture, art and literature.

(N.B. As this is an intermediate group you would struggle without basic level French so please contact the Marilyn Lea directly if you would like to discuss suitability of the course)
